The Many Joys of Cornish Rex Cats
Cornish Rex cats are known for their dynamic and engaging personalities. They crave the attention and companionship of their human family members. Perpetual bundles of energy, they thrive on interactive play and revel in opportunities to show off their agile acrobatic feats. Rex cats love to chat and do not hesitate to communicate what is on their minds. They are naturally curious, exploring every nook and cranny of their homes and closely supervising all activities within their households with intense intrigue. These cats remain active, sweet and entertaining long after kittenhood. If you are prepared to share your life and provide the social needs that this interactive breed requires, then prepare to meet some of our kittens.

When your kitten first arrives in his or her new home, remember that it has been an overwhelming day for the baby. This is a big change and it can be a little scary. Many kittens will try to hide themselves away. It may take a few days for his or her true personality to shine through. Some kittens may exhibit temporary signs of illness such as diarrhea or upper respiratory symptoms that are prompted by the stress. Reduce stress by confining him or her to a quiet room in your home for a few days. Spend plenty of calm, social time in the room with your new baby for reassurance and to let him or her get comfortable with you. Once this happens, allow the kitten to gradually explore the rest of the home in short intervals under your watchful eye. Wait until the kitten is completely comfortable before granting him or her fully supervised exposure to other pets and children.
Once your new kitten has fully acclimated to the new environment, prepare to be entertained and to enjoy the unique bond that the highly sociable Cornish Rex has to offer in exchange for your loving care and companionship. Throughout the life of your new family member, please always feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns that arise.
